A Measure of Time The Yugas

The Calendar of the Vedas

According to Vedic texts there are four yugas, or cycles totalling 4,320,000 years. One thousand yuga-cycles of 4,320,000,000 years make the duration of one day of Brahma. The Life of Brahma is said to be 311,040 trillion years.

Expanded Perception

Can you imagine the quality of perception of the people who “cognized” the vedas? At one time there were people who had such a broad awareness that they could actually see these time spans.

The Hayehwatha Institute provides Specialized Programs to expand human awareness, along with the assistance of evolved souls within the spiritual dimensions of the universe.

With refined perception, the Institute Programs explore the universe to reach back and forward in time, to evaluate the time cycles of the Yugas and to understand our human origins.

In the initial exploratory research we have found that our existance as a human species extends back further in time than the accepted versions found in science and religion today.

The Yugas

  • Satya Yuga or Krita Yuga – 1,728,000 years
  • Treta Yuga – 1,296,000 years
  • Dvapara Yuga – 864,000 years

There is a lot of information on the internet regarding the Yugas as described in the Vedas. The Wikipedia version is a good place to begin.
